Enterprise - F (My Version) by Colourbrand Enterprise - F (My Version) by Colourbrand
When I first showed my version of the Enterprise F, it caught the attention of a lot of people. A few even asked for more shots of this ship. So as a result I worked on her, often off than on, and only recently completed her.

And here she is.

I based her off the touted Enterprise F from Star Trek Online – but the nacelles just looked like an afterthought; in addition, every Enterprise is the same design modified for the era. So I decided to think outside the box. I liked the hoop drives the Vulcans used so I incorporated that into this design instead.

I also got rid of the classic thruster units for gravity plates to move the ship around. I mounted most of the torpedo armament into small numbered turrets, and the phasers into smaller strips for ease of replace and fire.

Not perfect but I hope it does not sour everyone’s liking of the first picturel.

Enjoy! :D

Been looking at your take on this ship. I love the arch. It harkens back to the concept sketches for TOS and the 'ring ship'.

Aside from the really strange warp geometry that a "hybrid" drive like that would require, I love it!

I really like this, now if only we could get STO engineers to notice that would be cool. I could quite see myself flying the cosmos in one of these ^_^

Did not think I was going to like the ring idea AT ALL.
Turns out I actually love it! Looks especially good from the front in the other render you made.

Nice ship. How already mentioned, the Alcubierre warp drive would need a full ring. Would be intresting to see a version with a full ring (upper ring half mirrored down to a full ring).
(First step to a real life Enterprise. ;))

Having said that, never know ;)

It's funny. With our current technology, that ship would almost work, the warp field spoiler deal there would have to be a ring all the way around from what I understand of the theoretical science.

Much better, since you removed thos oversized/streched looking nacelles and replaced them with something much better looking.
Your version looks much more balanced. Great Job.

A very interesting design. Very Vulcan-esque, especially in relation to the arching warp nacelles. It pulls off beautiful and powerful at the same time. I certainly wouldn't want to face off against her! This is a beautiful piece. Well done.

Hm, interesting idea, giving a ship a ring drive and nacelles. Humans considered using rings like the Vulcans do, as they are much more effective than nacelles. However, they make course changes in warp flight pretty much impossible. That's no problems for Vulcans, as their missions are planned ahead. But for the Humans, they wanted to be more flexible.

However, it might be nice to be able to switch to ring drive in cases when course changes are out of the question. Emergencies and such. Higher effectivity meaning retain higher speeds for longer time.

Thank you for the feedback - it was just an idea to come up with something bold; primarily I did not like the nacelles on the original ship - so I went with this instead :)

Like the reasoning you have expressed mind :D

Thanks for popping by - most appreicated :)

I can't quite see this as an enterprise, but I already see myself really wanting to captain one.  It looks kind of like said STO's star cruisers, which don't get nearly enough love.

I love this design, I also have an easy fix for the Bussard scopes. In this scene they are covered by retractable armor for combat. I image that they would go on the nacelle like things at the base of the warp "arch".

nice work, while I like seeing how the traditional Enterprise design evolves over time its good to see some new tech in the layout, might be hard to sell to the fan base in a film though they are very passionate about traditions, but I enjoyed looking.
