The Hellion

"...all they knew was that the region was under attack from dark forces. Despite their carefree nature, the Sylvan Queen insisted that they all wear armour in this; her military spies told that something powerful was being used to decimate the land. She wanted her finest warrior and her friends not just walk away victorious, but also alive and intact.

Good warriors are hard to come by - greater ones more rare.

When they arrived at the scene, the land was charbroiled, like it had been hit by a volcano. Curious, they left their steeds and explored.

Minutes later, they discovered the cause of the devastation - a monster, a giant made of molten rock and metal; it was described as a Hellion - and its purpose was to destroy the land, render it useless, and force the inhabitants to flee - making a path for the Forces of Darkness to move in.

Despite their magical powers, and grand skills, the warriors are stunned; how can they stop it?

One of them opens fire with her staff and discharges lightning at it; it strikes with a blast and a few stones are shattered from the beast's hull; but all it did was draw its attention, face cold evil despite the lava and heat,

Then with no visible expression, it bunched a slag-bleeding fist, ready to strike..."

Inspired by some of the characters made by the lovely I wanted to do them in battle, show her ideas given form.

And a molten monster I thought would be ideal; the rock and matter was easy to do, and the embers - cake walk
