Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

Description
I was inspired by the trailer of Ridley Scott’s Alien’s prequel and what the film entailed; I was mostly intrigued about the human ship – the USCSS Prometheus.
I was not sure of the design from what I saw in the trailer, so I wanted to try a version of it
Then to my amazement I recently had a conversation with the man who actually worked on the design of the ship [link] and the process that went with it. It was an insightful and welcoming exchange.
I then saw the Prometheus proper, and I thought WOW!!! What attracted me to her were the little details; the lights, the hull, the good balance of greebles, and a very clever design concept. It has been a long time since the cinema has graced us with a new good looking ship.
As a result I decided to work on it and carry on. I added bits here and there, to see how far I can go.
This is my finished version; I based the idea on the dropship of Aliens but one way larger; I liked the engine arrangement of the Prometheus but got the wrong idea but it worked out very well here. I also loved the unusual flightdeck of the original so I made something similar.
To show off its lights, I had the ship placed in somewhere dark and dank. I have sort of done a day version of this, but am in two minds to work on her.
Like to hear your thoughts.
Enjoy!
