Time to go out with a bang methinks….
A strikeforce of Capellan Confederation TR-10 Transits make an attack on a Fed-Com World during Operation: Thunderstrike. Due to the falling out of the two factions that make the Federated Commonwealth, the Capellans take advantage and make an attack on an aerospace port.
The leader of the attackers spearheads the charge, and initially they are successful as numerous AC/20 shots land on the buildings below, obliterating them. Alas the place is well defended, and in that moment, his Transit gets a face full of defensive fire.
With his aerospace fighter damaged and going down, the proud Capellan squadron leader keeps fighting, hoping to inspire his team to carry on…

[link]I saw this and I had to do a pic similar; I loved that piece of art; I was inspired. I thought about doing a version with a Y-Wing or Galaxy Ranger Interceptor, but the Transit was perfect; can see its long body, the weapons, and it looked the part.
I was going to add bombs and such, and it’s a fact that battletech fighters carry external ordnance, but that would be a mimic too far I thought.
One thing many will note is that I did not give the fighters (apart from one) thrust; it just looked better. Sides, the trails give indication to movement.
