Ceres

Ceres: A world primarily covered in vast taiga forests, extensive mountain ranges and large glaciers, Ceres emerged from an ice age roughly one millennium ago, just in time for Northern European and American settlers to establish a colony in the Confederation years.

A resounding success, Ceres evolved into a role of leadership in the then-Frontier, defending colonial rights and seeking representation for itself and other worlds in the Confederation Assembly.

The collapse of the Confederation prompted the people and government of Ceres to declare independence from the Terran League and become one the founding planets that established the Federated Alliance of Stars, and following the victory in the Third Interstellar War, the Terran Federation.

One of the most strategic worlds in the Outer Member Systems, Ceres is the site of the largest satellite branch of the Federal Armed Forces Academy, as well as the site of the home port of Third Fleet of the Fleet Arm of Stellar Combat Command.

Ceres also possesses significant shipbuilding capabilities, as well as its own aerospace market, in the form of Colonial Aerospace.
