Description

On learning of Palpatine’s true nature, his involvement with the Clone Wars and his despotic actions after, many worlds defy his authority.

Seizing ships belonging to the seditionists, and any machines that can fly, traverse hyperspace, and can carry weapons, rebel factions’ attack Palpatine’s Empire and his military forces.

Palpatine was aware of such resistance, but what surprised him are the amount of numbers and their spirited determination against him. His fleet of Venators was known to seasoned fighters who knew of their strengths and weaknesses; defeats were mounting.

It was time to change that. It was time to crush resistance and the Rebellion.

A few years later, a major offensive by the now stabilised Rebel Alliance is being prepared when it is learned that the Imperial Fleet was about to attack them there and then.

The Rebels ready themselves expect to meet resistance by Imperial Vernators and Victory Cruisers; what emerges from Hyperspace is unbelievably terrifying; two new Imperial ships, monsters in stature, brisling with more armament than anything ever made, pounce on the Rebel Fleet.

Outnumbered they maybe but the new Imperial Class Star Destroyers make very short work of the Rebellion; obliterating rebel ships with volleys of terrifying waves of long range turbolaser fire. For the Rebel fighters, they now faced the improved and standard TIE/LN Starfighter. Small and fragile they maybe but fast and agile is the terrifying trade off; as a result, the Imperials inflict devastation. New TIE Bombers come along to help smash up Rebel ships. TIEs down old ARC-170s, Y-Wings and other older ships.

Within minutes, the Rebel Alliance is on the verge of extinction; flee they must. Something easier said than done; few make a stand to give their comrades the chance to flee – most alas do not make it. As the Imperial Star Destroyers mop up the remnants, those that flee know this is the fightback from the Empire they fear; and what is worse is how do they get their chance? Where are they going to find ships of that magnitude to fight back with?

Did this as my version of how the Clone Wars remnants fade into history as the Star Wars we know comes to pass.

I know my writing skills are shit but hey…

I am pretty shocked how this turned out! Just stunned! It turned out far better than I expected; especially the TIE fighters, and the Star Destroyers.

Like to hear your thoughts – and always – enjoy!
